I understand now, I therefore should explain the first comment
Someone advised me that I should read the chat section, an area that had held no interest to me, I soon saw what they were alluding to:
ffs "what a pillock pcpa can be sometimes"

To be fair, I did say "sometimes". And I can be a pillock sometimes too.

Just been out to my shed, the adjustable wrench, known in this house as the "beast", from when my daughter wanted to help me around the house, from 4 years old, all I had to say is - get me the beast from the shed. That is a distant memory as she is 14 nearly 15 and doesn't take the blind bit of notice of me. It is a 3/4 inch jaw (max) x 12 inch and is by the german manufacturer Steinadler that dates back to the 1920's, it is so smooth and doesn't slip or need re-adjusting, so is a dream to use. ![]() Tried to post a picture but FFS you will need to help me out. Took photo on phone, sent it by email to email account and then put it on my desktop, went on to add attachment, found it on desktop, clicked to upload it but it doesn't do it, any help, greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Picture added below.

annabellespapa, I've added the picture to your post above. The original was over 6 MB, too large for the Attachment images (max 1 MB).

I just open it in paint and reduce it there.
You can also reduce the image size in your mobile phones' camera settings..

Got a collection of about 6 'shifters' in various sizes, all made by Bahaco though so not 'useless' in any sense of the word but 'time and place'! I also have a Zeus and a very useful Shetack disc. Like others I don't like to think what might happen to my tool collection when I die, I started in my early teens so about 60 years ago.

Love tools, love having the correct tool to hand for most jobs/repairs, my tool box weighs over 30kg but goes with me everywhere in the car . I also carry a moisture meter for wood, an electrical monitor, a stud/steel monitor, mini compressor and a battery charger as standard.
What do you carry ?
Maybe a separate topic...

I used to have to carry my toolboxes in my 76' ford granada 2 door to have some weight in the rear end to keep it from doing a 180° spin from a left or right turn...

Breakdown cover.
No. Just joking. Since my trusty rusty Transit went to the great scrapyard in the sky I don't carry much of anything these days apart from tyre changing kit.

I used to keep heavy stuff in the front load space in my Lotus Europa. The front was too light and the steering would get worryingly light at speed. Wet roads, forget it.

Most of my tools are in the box below, except for one or two that I like to keep handy.

Everyone denouncing the humble shifter! But everyone seems to have one
Including the military - one of mine has the 'arrow' WD mark and 1941.

Right on there Aardvark. Good tools last virtually forever. Most youngsters don’t know the meaning a stitch in time saves nine. Anyone over fifty will have some tools somewhere. Kids just don’t understand why they are always short of money. I have loads of tools in my garage and they have served me well

Laughing while I am typing, my 3 litre Capri Mark 3 (or project Carla) had the nasty habit of the rear trying to overtake the front, a 3ft x 2ft council slab in the boot mostly sorted that problem out but being a 3 litre meant everyone wanted to race you at traffic lights, without the slab it was very quick, with the slab a bit sluggish and thus my boy racer days were over.
