January 2020 on the worlds best forum ATS her car would not start, it went to a local garage that had always worked on it and after a couple of months and 500 euros he found out it had no compression on one cylinder.
I got someone else who said it was not a compression issue but he never got it going another 2 or three hundred cannot remeber.
Anyway by March I found a Bmw specialist who said he could find and fix the fault, good messages coming through and only cost 350 to get it transported to a garage I had not seen and a bag of shit mechanic I never met.
Within a couple of days of getting to his garage he called me to say timing chain 700 deposit for parts balance when you collect the car in a few days time.
Money sent the money by bank transfer, I was suprised it was the timing chain as it had been changed by Bmw but these models eat them.
Anyway I thought good mechanic the first garage knew nothing. He sent a message through about ten days later to say the turbo has a lot of play in it and needs changed, I said it was not that old and still under warranty but he had already ordered it and it was only 580 fitted.
I said I will pay you cash when we collect the car which he accepted after a few messages going back and forward.
Weeks later the car is still not finished no turbo fitted but did not know that until July.
He said he fitted the new timing chains but there is no compression, I felt good then as I thought that was the issue.
Yes mr dummy sends another 500 to cover the parts.
We kept asking when is the car going to be ready and it was always next week.
In July we drove up to his garage, had a bit of bother finding it. As we drove up a door opened and a head came out asking us what we wanted. We explained we were looking for Mr Shit bag he said he is not here just now as he was quite a small person we went in and he did have a nice puppy always a good sign. Inside was mr huge looking thug probably from Chechnia arm muscles like a flippin weight lifter.
So I say you have my car here and I walk through the garage and can see there is zero equipment and no tools in sight. Plenty of nice Bmws all with bits and bobs missing.
Our sad car is in the yard outside minus most of the engine.
They were all polite and said Mr Shit bag was in hospital but we would have the car next week.
Weeks went by with promises of next wek and its almost finished.
Last Tuesday we drove up expecting the worst as there ads had stopped as we got out of the car and looked over the steel gates the yard was empty. A man with one leg came out of a building next door and said who are you we said who are you but he did not say i asked you first.
I asked are you mr shit bag he said no, I asked them where is the garage he said they started moving out with the cars in July and had cleared out by August. He actully owned the buildings and had a court order to get the buildings back, they owed 15K in rent.
As we were still in contact with Mr shit bag I sent him a message asking where is the car and im going to the Gendarmes.
He said I have your car in my new garage with all the parts and gives the address but he is in hospital as his house burnt down and he is in a wheel chair. You can get your car next week.
We still went to the Gendarme that day but they had a girl making a complaint and the boss man asked whats the problem as soon as we gave the name they knew who he was. He did tell the truth he was in hospital and in a wheel chair his house burned down, come back tomorrow.
It was a long drive home in terrible foggy conditions and we did not go back up the following day.
We had a look on google earth at his new garage but could not see anything other than old industrial buildings. Drove up to the address on Tuesday but not much sign of life about but see someone on a fork lift so drove up to him and see the BMW being towed out of a building.
Ats said whats your name and got the usual dont understand you. No one anywhere would give a name throught all these months.
The car looked sad and stripped he assured us all the parts were at the old garage but the man with one leg said there was nothing there.
