That is a maintenance problem. If you or they want to live with rats/mice then so be it but do not expect anyone to pay you for your life choices.

So mice and rats can tell if a service is over due and they then eat the cables?

Those things do work. I use a small one here in Hell's half acre. Pity they don't work on moles or neighbours' cats. A friend had a problem with rats in his Garage business so he installed a powerful one. Worked quickly. The car showroom next door then had the problem and came to him to repair the damage. Good business. |

Pulled the car out of the garage a few years back and it caught fire, that turned out to be mouse damage. Nearly 2000€ worth, probably not much less than the car was worth, insurance paid out though, thankfully.

Another year of struggling with moles. Hopefully now solved. Explosive in the galerie set off electronically. I have two of them running full time. Must have spent hundreds of €€s over the last few years on "petards". The moles reproduce faster than the explosives can catch them. |

We got away lightly with £800 when a rodent recently chewed through the fuel pipe on my hybrid Yaris; the petrol tank had to be replaced making the repair quite costly.
