It is hitting the bald eagle hard I have heard/read.. That is sad.. They were really starting to thrive...
Wish it would do the same with Europe's representative bird - the pigeon...

Perhaps , you could explain to the likes of I , why you would think that sparrows are vermin ? You would be better off asking the person who said they were vermin.

Cernunnos have you ever lived in a house roofed with Roman tiles? I have lived in a house roofed with "roman tiles" for more than 30 years. We had a colony of sparrows living under the eaves for years , they were lovely . When I built my barn , they moved out of the house and into the rafters in the barn , where they still live . They are a boistrous but very welcome part of our biotope .
