Mark Cavendish won the Stage 3 of the Giro today. He is looking much stronger this year and I hope he is given a chance in the TdF. Unfortunately there are other young members of his team who may be selected in his place. I have not seen if this decision has already been made.

Yes, it looks like Jakobsen will do the TdF this year.
It didn't look like he was going to win that stage yesterday, he just hung on.

I heard a commentator say that Jacobsen is the designated sprinter for QS in the Tour and he is well worth it. I doubt that Cav is hoping that he suffers an injury at 5he last minute rathe4 like the Sam Bennett incident. There are several others from the whole set of teams who are in top form. Maybe it would be kind to keep MC out of harms way. He appears happy winning in the minor events.

It didn't look like he was going to win that stage yesterday, he just hung on. It looked close but when seen from overhead they were not close to catching him on the line
