I made my application, in Finistère, on 25 April and, following the acknowledgement, heard nothing until an email on 22 July inviting me for a rdv on 19 August. Three months' delay here, so the moral is to be patient.

Three months' delay here, so the moral is to be patient. And if you are in Manche, you have to be very patient indeed. They have just started sending out a few rdv's - so far one person who applied 9 months ago and one person 8 months that I've heard of. For me it is 7 months so I have everything crossed. This seems to be a result of doing all the 10 yearTdS's first before starting on any of the 5 year ones. There is no information on the website, you can't ring them and they never reply to emails. it really doesn't help the anxiety levels......

What a difference from dept 24!
For a small consolation, I assume you had an acknowlegement of your application which you could use if necessary.

I did indeed - but at the moment the date for having to possess an actual card is still 1st October. I know that is mad, given that they are still accepting applications up until the end of September and it can take 6 weeks after rdv to get a card but still....... Great excuse for not going outside the French borders though, isn't it? Odd that the longer I'm here and unable to visit the UK, the less I want to visit the UK

I don’t understand the delay. Toulouse took less than a week to send out the cards.

Toulouse doesn’t send out cards, the cards come directly from the manufacturers.

Has anybody seen any recent official data on the total number of cards issued, applications received etc? I know as of June Dordogne had received around 8300 applications and had processed about 7400 of them.

By total number of cards issued you mean just uk subjects because believe it or not there are applicants from other countries.😁

I believe 24 will be issuing their 10,000th card soon.

Went for my rdv today in Quimper. Apart from the difficulty in finding somewhere to park when the city is in full tourist season (COVID and its restrictions don't seem to have dented that in Quimper), it was remarkably quick. Met at the door at 14h12 (rdv fixed for 14h15), after queuing, by a security man who knew straightaway why I was there (see here), I was pointed in the right direction and sat down to wait with only one other person at the counter. As soon as he left I was called up, handed over passport and photo, did the fingerprint thing, signed the form, and was outside by 14h20.
The card's due by recorded delivery in the next 5 weeks.

We made our applications on 12/2 to Pref St Brieuc. Today we both finally got an e-mail to say our demandes for TDS have been accepted and they will send us an email with the date of a rdv next. Getting there I suppose....

Guess the fonctionnaires must be back in the office post COVID or have returned from holidays or there a new stagaire has just started.
