I would say that if people don't like peace and quiet then don't come to Brittany. Or at very least get in close to the larger towns/cities. I don't expect to see anyone out walking dogs or for pleasure during the hunting season. Hi aardvark, apologies for the double posting, I couldn't post below your quote. Anyway, we cannot be too far away from you, the two villages I was talking about were Pleven and Plorec Sur Arguenon, we are just outside Bourseul on the way to Jugon Les Lacs. I have been through both of those villages again today and again no signs of life, travelled on to Lamballe through the forest and again very few cars on the road and no people, got to the edge of Lamballe by the new Lidl and it was packed, there were at least 15 cars in a queue for fuel, so your theory about larger towns and cities ring true.

When we lived in dept 22, Jugon les Lacs was a 15 minute drive.
Do you know Pluduno?

When we lived in dept 22, Jugon les Lacs was a 15 minute drive. Do you know Pluduno? Yes, we know Pluduno quite well, our nearest Lidl is there and just a 5-8 minutes drive for us. We used to go and see the French ExPat amature dramatic productions, normally Pantomimes in the Sports Hall and a couple of years back a production of I think the Canterbury Tales, it was a garden party type affair held in the grounds of a building nearly opposite the church. We use Plancoet really for shopping and passing through to the beaches and generally head towards Jugon Les Lacs for eating out and socialising, which is strange to our French neighbours who only go to Plancoet for everything they need, we like Jugon as it was where our first house was 22 years ago.

Nifty why have you put that video on? Back in the USSR isn't back in the UK, so I guess the "back in" is the common denominator, in which case I like back in horses, as in: Listen to Peter O'Sullivan commentating.....Sir Ivor produces a devastating run. Have a nice evening and watch the impeccable Longfellow ride Sir Ivor to a wonderful victory in the States.

I like backin’ winners.
My late uncle told me that his father was a friend of Tommy Westhead and also knew Leicester Piggot. Probably through Piggot’s father I think

Two lovely quotes of Lester Piggott's: After victory in the 1969 Washington DC International on Karabas, reporters who had criticised his winning ride on Sir Ivor the year before now asked him when he thought he had the race won. “About three weeks ago,” he replied, dismissively. And about trainer Jeremy Tree who when asking Lester for help and what he could say to Eton lads in a future lecture about all he knew about training horses. Lester simply said "Tell them you've got flu"

I definitely do not want to see your package, especially if it is too big. Also you won't get my e- male(sic), I do not want to be beaten up.

Pity that such a fine specimen should be wasted.
