To Vaccinate or Not? Vermont, w highest concentration of vaccinated people, and Alabama, state w lowest. In last 7 days Alabama recorded 901 COVID cases; Vt recorded 8. Alabama has 65 hospital admissions daily. Vermont? Zero. Alabama 41 deaths last week. Vermont? Zero.

Additional factors to consider:
Vermont's population of 623,251 are for the most part middle class and above.
Alabama's population of 4,934,193 are some of the poorest in the country.

Is vaccination free in the US, or does it have to be bought - either personally or through healthcare insurance? Our son and daughter in law both had their vaccine free (California), I think it's free for the whole of the US

Good point Aadvark. Also Alabama is Republican and Vermont is Democrat. The lower vaccination rates tend to be in Republican states in the south. It is the same with mask wearing.
