As things stand the unions are threatening a wide range of strikes to oppose the changes to retirement age that the govt. is making; likely that fuel refineries will be hit soon enough so maybe keep your car fuel and larders stocked up, folks, just in case.

Which should be the case regardless of potential strikes, bad weather, supply chain interruptions, ill health, or rampant chasseurs.

Look at it this way....if you can't get fuel for the car (or there's no leccy for recharging a battery), you keep an eye on your last loo roll and before it runs out you walk into the nearest village or town with a tabac/presse. Buy an armful of your preferred journal (and perhaps a couple of packets of pasta from the épicerie), a brisk walk home and Robert's ton oncle Fresh air, plenty of exercise and a clean bottom! The Boy Scouts had it right...'Be prepared'!

I have not seen The Stun, the Daily Mail or Express locally, but, can think on of no better material for toilet paper in an emergency.
