What very sad news - I must admit to shedding tears on reading about his death, which many of us feared was the case but hoped very much that it wasn’t.
My thoughts often went to Mark, who I felt I knew and thought of as a gentleman and a friend, although a virtual friend.
Sending my condolences to Mark’s family and friends - may Mark rest in peace.
Many thanks to Team Mark for taking over the running of the forum and your willingness to keep it going.

Very sad news, FFS as others have said ran the forum with civility for all and expected that of the members at the forefront and that showed.

Such sad news. It doesn't seem that long ago when he said he would be starting treatment.
RIP Mark / FFS

I assume the news of Mark's death was discovered, rather than being informed? I ask because if there was a contact with his wife, a copy of this thread could be sent.

Mark was a member and important contributor to another forum. His avatar was Vegemite Kid due to his childhood in Australia where he ate loads of the stuff apparently. Mark was a very active member of the forum even getting to the stage of wanting to take it over when the proprietors indicated an intention to sell the forum. Mark was unable to get anywhere with the proprietors (according to him) hence his decision to start his own forum.

Very sad to hear this. During the launch of TOFF in july/august 2021 we discussed some minor software problems, font size, readability of embedded links. He was always very fast in responding. I did not pay pay much attention in that time to his signature below these private messages and his posts: " If you stay positive in a negative situation you win ". With hindsight I now understand that message better.
