A light breeze that blew kong off his tower I don’t know anything about those famous stars previously mentioned. That is not what I had in mind. I don’t think a handy link exists to this info, but, I remember reading in a book, about Humphrey Bogart I think, the the smoke for some of the battle scenes in Gone With The Wind was created by burning the props from the film King Kong.

According to ChatGPT, asking the question as written by Nifty:
The last direct connection between the films "Gone with the Wind" and "King Kong" would be through the actress Fay Wray, who starred as Ann Darrow in "King Kong." Wray appeared in several films during the 1930s, including "Gone with the Wind," in which she had a minor role as a woman in a crowd scene. So, Fay Wray was the last direct connection between the two films, aside from the producer.

So why include "Barring the producer" in the question? Wasn't the producer human?
Asking this question What was the last material (non-human) connection between the films Gone With the Wind and King Kong? Barring the producer.
ChatGPT answers: The last non-human connection between the films "Gone with the Wind" and "King Kong" is the special effects company that worked on both films. The stop-motion animation studio of Willis O'Brien was responsible for the special effects in "King Kong" (1933), and O'Brien later worked on the burning of Atlanta sequence in "Gone with the Wind" (1939).

It seems that it must have been a trick question.
