We ordered some windows yesterday just standard sizes from lappyre which is spelt wrong. In the past, well about eight years ago if you ordered a window you would have it the following week. Almost a month wait now to get them. Planning in advance like my spelling and grammar there is room for improvement.

Mine took 7 weeks. Might have been because I ordered in summer and caught the August Black Hole.

We were quoted 7 weeks at Lapeyre, probably same one near St Brieuc that Aadvark might of used. Went to Leroy Merlin and they were delivered on a pallet to the house in 7 days.
I used to always (20+ years) use Lapeyre but delivery times/quality and price have ruled them out for me.

At the two of you how long ago was that. It was five years ago so probably not all that relevant, their prices used to be so good for made to measure windows but in the instance I was mentioning when we had them delivered on a pallet from Leroy where off the shelf standard range.

Mine were ordered about 11 years ago and were not made to measure but catalogue standard sizes. I had to modify them to fit. At the same time I ordered a couple of sets of pine shutter kits. Both the pre-finished windows and the shutters that I finished myself are still good as new today. At the time proper made to measure (uninstalled) windows were 2 to 3 times the price.
