I must say, the amount of grease running away from that egg would put me off more than the fact it was served on cardboard.

In which case you would probably prefer to be eating it from cardboard which absorbs the grease.
I thought there were new regulations outlawing the use of disposable cutlery, glasses etc, does that not extend to plates?

1/10 for presentation. I thought that there was a directive put out recently to apply pressure on food outlets to use non-disposable plates.

Ahhh, so its a hôtel and the guests were staying in a treehouse, - muppets, they deserved it!
You cannot keep a delivered take-away meal (as that is what this was) warm on a plate let alone then carry it up a ladder, I have to cook in the sous sol and carry the plate out to my caravane to eat, sous-sol unheated, caravane barely, distance between can be below zero, I use a tray and a cloche but still often have to reheat it in the microwave.

Have you ever thought of filming your daily life and putting it on TV?

Have you ever thought of being civil?

Have you ever thought of being civil?
Not amused then?
You have posted so many interesting snippets of a much travelled and varied existence on this and other forums why do you take umbrage?

Been on holiday in Madiera recently, was delighted to find fried bread for breakfast, how long since anyone cooked that, beautiful, took me back to working in Sheffield steelworks where we had dripping crusts at break time, no wonder my arteries are all blocked up

At our local golf course there are several tree houses, some even have an extra tree house next to the main house. Never fancied climbing up a steel ladder, although some even have a wooden staircase. Toilet is lowered for staff to empty and food is taken up by rope and empty dishes taken down in the same way as the toilet. They are very busy in the summer and if you don't fancy eating up a tree, there are a few restaurants to choose from on site.
