As no one has written a post for this seemingly abandoned thread I thought I would start it off. I hate tennis.

I prefer volleyball or croquet, more cerebral!🤪

Always thought tennis was a bit of a racket!

I love watching top players but I am very selective about watching any tournaments which are not Wimbledon. I cannot get used to blue courts and players wearing multi-coloured kit.

Tennis players prefer yellow balls.

Tennis players prefer yellow balls. I heard on Radio 4 the other day that it was David Attenborough who pushed for the use of yellow balls because they showed up better then white ones on colour TV.

I prefer volleyball or croquet, more cerebral!🤪 Not at all, I’m not keen on playing or watching tennis but it can be a very tactical game, more chess than draughts.

Many moons ago, when at secondary school, the only sport I used to like was tennis 🎾. Everything else I always had girl pains.

I was always a great disappointment to my father who was one of those annoying people who was good at just about any sport - Fly half in the Ireland 'B' squad, NI 25 mile time trial champion in cycling (and on a fixed wheel too!), badminton player and tennis player when all those sports were strictly amateur. His proudest moment was taking a set off a Wimbledon winner (although he lost the match).
So when I showed no aptitude whatever for racquet sports and swam like a brick I could feel his disappointment. Maybe that's why I never really had an interest in tennis. Or swimming. Or badminton. Wasn't even a decent No 9. Could run a bit, though, and was a decent skier and karateka.
He's 90 now and could probably still wallop me at tennis!

What kind of sadism is ‘karateka’?🙀
