Welcome back SS3. I too have spent hours both on the computer and the phone trying to get through security to install a banking app. (Since last October). Finally discovered my Iphone was too old (old OS), the system had my phone number wrong and of course I could not get in to change it. The app did not work on my old Ipad or new Ipod. It took dozens of sessions via the phone to get them to give it up and send me a separate scanner, which I hope to get in 10 days time. Meantime I discovered why my credit card had been blocked since October and that they had notified me of this via a mail on their website, where I still cannot log into to read it. So I really do share your frustration with all this security bol###ks. Change to a French bank ? I reckon this is just a ploy by most banks to part people from control of their money and use it for their own purposes.

Keep it simple ? One bank , one card , works every time !

And don't put all your eggs into one basket and call it a phone. There is no way I will ever use a banking "app" on a phone that can be lost, stolen, hacked, cloned or need to be updated because the manufacturer want everyone to dump it and buy a new one. A mug's game by any other name.

I reckon that one may be better off stuffing their cash under their mattress. At least thay would have direct control over it as it’s purchasing power leaches away to the leaches.
I wish I took my stepfather’s advice. Spend it. On what? How would my life have been any different?
