I'll try to sort that out and remember to pass on anything that might help. At the moment I'm completely clueless, apart from knowing that I shall have 60 days to calculate how much to pay and there's some date in 2015 that I have a valuation of the property for to work out liability from then to the sale date. Thank you. That is about as much as I know. I bought my flat in April 2015, so I won't have difficulty with the start price. It's how much I can set against it. But that's for another day. Sorry everyone for the post drift.

This was sent out by Isabelle Want (Allianz). If she can make this mistake, anyone can! 'Be careful with 3916 (the bank accounts outside of France) and don’t do like me and start filling 3916 before you get to the box 8UU to tick. I lost the details of the accounts! So, don’t touch the annexe 3916 before you tick box 8UU. The 3916 will pop up automatically. And just click on “suivant”, don’t fill in the box where it asks you how many more accounts you want to add, unless you have some account to add to your listing. If you put 0, it will delete your accounts! So just click on “suivant”.' Sorry I didn't post it before as a warning. Thanks for the extra info. FWIW in our case and thinking back to when we had our hiccup we're both pretty sure we had ticked 8UU before going anywhere near the 3916 itself. Since we did have accounts to add we entered an positive integer in the appropriate box, not a zero... It was when the form offered up the blank page for data entry labelled account 1 that the penny dropped.... I get the impression the bugginess (??) manifests itself in almost random manner.... Yep! heeded the warning, but accounts from last year were not pre-filled or had disappeared, so had to start again. Then couldn't get out of the darned form.

I'm so glad I don't do my declaration on line. I would be in melt down by now. I can only read the paper forms with a magnifying glass in some places. Doing it on a small tablet would be impossible. I wish you all good luck and never ending patience.

Hi...Did you eventually manage to get out of 3916 eventually without losing the data? We yet to revisit the 3916 and if it falls over again..... The paper forms belated dropped into the mail box a couple of days back and I must admit we're tempted to say stuff it and go back to the old way of doing things.

Still waiting for my forms, or at least the one which relates to the period leading up to my husband's death.

I must have somehow, but I was losing my cool and sorry I don't remember how. You could always just say in the comments that nothing had changed from previous year or list separately and send either under comments (can't remember if you can send attachments) or by messagerie. Additionally, when I checked the pdf of what I had completed, (docs lieie - I think) form 2047 didnot show all my information/figures. When I tried to go back in, I couldn't generate form 2047 again, but all the figures showed on the main form. So I'm leaving well alone and if they are not happy they can come back to me. I checked last year's 2047 and that was the same, although a different category was missing. 8 years completing the forms and I still cannot get my head around them.

I'm also still awaiting the forms. I have downloaded copies in case they don't come but don't have prefilled one, of course. I read in the national paper that the last date for sending them out was 27 April so they may arrive by the middle of next week!? However, they always come separately so presume that will be two separate days anyway!

Thanks plog. I wonder if the delay is because our tax office moved a couple of months ago. We normally have them well before the end of April. I will give it until after the bank holiday. I can use the downloaded ones anyway to do the draft and then fill in the originals if they arrive otherwise I will just send in downloaded forms. You can't get into the new tax office unless you have a RDV, so I am told, so I suspect it is not easy to go in to collect forms.

I have been trying for over two weeks to get a RDV to get ours sorted but no response, and impossible to do via the website so we are going in to the office tomorrow and have a go face to face.
Typically French wanting our tax but making it so difficult to give them the information they need to assess it. All the time threatening huge fines for avoidance.

Well, I have a problem......I seem to have submitted 2047 and 3916 , but it keeps telling me to tick 8UU or 8TT on the main form, neither of which is available. I only have a single payment source of income, so any clues what I have done wrong ?
Many Thanks

They should have the forms in English! I have no problem filling in the form online, strange eh ?
