And as it's that time of year again... Anybody else had the on-line 3916 seemingly delete all the accounts carried forward from previous years when you're trying to enter a new UK account, or was it just us... If so...anybody found a fix (other than entering all the previous years data again)?

I know, it's a terrible section of the site. Had the same issue last year, can't remember how I approached it.

Thanks for the quick reply..it's a little bit of help to know we're not the only ones who are or have struggled with this ***** form.

If it gets too difficult then revert to a paper submission and put it down to experience.

This was sent out by Isabelle Want (Allianz). If she can make this mistake, anyone can!
'Be careful with 3916 (the bank accounts outside of France) and don’t do like me and start filling 3916 before you get to the box 8UU to tick. I lost the details of the accounts! So, don’t touch the annexe 3916 before you tick box 8UU. The 3916 will pop up automatically. And just click on “suivant”, don’t fill in the box where it asks you how many more accounts you want to add, unless you have some account to add to your listing. If you put 0, it will delete your accounts! So just click on “suivant”.'
Sorry I didn't post it before as a warning.

I havn't returned to my address where they would be sent, someone is picking up the mail though and they havn't advised me, I think they were quite late last year.
We are in a happy minority of two!

I made a start with the online declaration and had to give up. Partly not knowing what the hell I was doing, partly the question about declaring Paypal and Wise as accounts held abroad, and partly finding it impossible to correct pre-printed things that were incorrect. I have requested a RDV for a face to face with an English speaker. Oddly, the online form shows an English language option at the top right but it doesn't actually translate very much as you venture further into the form(s). Have to admit. I didn't expect much to start with.

Yep, Same thing happened to us, deleted previous accounts when we entered new. Although the deleted accounts were closed in January of this year, but we were unable to advise that.

FWIW in our case and thinking back to when we had our hiccup we're both pretty sure we had ticked 8UU before going anywhere near the 3916 itself. Since we did have accounts to add we entered an positive integer in the appropriate box, not a zero... It was when the form offered up the blank page for data entry labelled account 1 that the penny dropped.... I get the impression the bugginess (??) manifests itself in almost random manner....

I have to delete an account (Barclys) this time and last year I had to re-enter the details of all accounts because I pressed some wrong button or other. Are there any pitfalls to deleting an account that anyone can offer help on?
I've been too distracted selling a UK property in recent weeks to be able to focus on tax returns ............

Haven't received the forms yet this year so wonder if they are sending me a message ... may have to download them! I do a paper submission. This year I have to do everything twice, once as a couple before my husband's death, and again for me after his death. I received my 2042K the week before last, very early, but not the form for us as a couple. Our local tax office has closed, so as I don't have a printer and always collect the additional forms that they always forget to send, I made a 80 km round trip to the new tax office. I picked up 2 x 2042C, 2 x 2047, 8 x 3916 . I asked for a copy of the pre filled 2042K for before my husband's death and the charming man refused and said I was to wait for the post. What a charmer. Still waiting.

We have a friend in the same situation, widowed and having to do it twice.Bon courage!
I see on the impots site that the forms are being sent out between 6-25 April so I will wait a few more days to see if they arrive before downloading. I always deliver the completed forms personally, just to make sure they have received them! Our tax office has also closed - 60 km round trip!

Ooh, perhaps I can pick your brains about capital gains tax in the not too distant future. I'm in the process of evicting a tenant because of rent arrears and I can't take the stress anymore of being a landlord. So will be selling once he has left!

I'll try to sort that out and remember to pass on anything that might help. At the moment I'm completely clueless, apart from knowing that I shall have 60 days to calculate how much to pay and there's some date in 2015 that I have a valuation of the property for to work out liability from then to the sale date.
