I tried to find the article in French but they are all difficult to access without accepting lots of cookies etc which I refuse to do.

A few years ago we had a couple of toads decide to come outside our bedroom window, and make a lot of noise at night. Very loud and had trouble sleeping.
We could not find them during the day but they always returned at night.
Eventually, I put a load of gravel over the area (it is only 3 x 0.5 metres), and they moved on!
