How on earth are they going to enforce the pass sanitaire in restaurants etc. I can just see some of the elderly clients being totally flummoxed, and small restaurants and cafes won't have the technology or staff to handle it. We have friends who own a café/resto and I was wondering about that as well, so I looked it up.
Apparently, café and restaurant owners can download an app called tousanticovid verif with which they can flash a QR code (either from a paper attestation or a phone) and it shows valid (or not). It sounds quite simple, doesn't it?... but will it be ??

And will it work with the NHS vaccination QR certificate code?

How will tourists be allowed into said establishments I wonder? I doubt this app will recognise non French QR codes

And will it work with the NHS vaccination QR certificate code? Only if the UK QR code conforms to the EU standard - but I suspect the NHS one will be world beating

I have already tried the U.K. qr code in the touscovid app with no success, but will try this new app also, is it available yet out of interest?

Not all that surprising but would put paid to my best mate coming over in a couple of weeks time Yeh its looking bad again, I think us coming out in Aug/Sept is not looking too hot.......... I think you should be ok if double vaccinated.

I'll echo what SW13girl has said - I actually found Macron relatively starightforward to understand, but then I usually do! I tend to think that my French must have improved but then I listen to other people and realise it hasn't
I've told my mate she should be ok as things stand at the moment. Hope to see you too before very long @johnny D!

Was out shopping today, and popped into Burger King for a quick bite.
The was a QR code on the door and also a book to sign in if you did not have the Tousanticovid app. I scanned ok.
However, there was no one there to enforce it so I sat with a view of the entrance. I must have been the only one to do it in the 30 minutes I was there!
At the moment it is not obligatory, but Macron said last night it will be (from August I think). That will be very interesting to see what happens at places like this with a big footfall and turnover of folk.

There's already been some kickback from bar and restaurant owners who want this delayed until September.

If you scanned it with your phone, that's the QR code de lieu, used to notify you of a risk of contamination. It doesn't check your pass sanitaire.
At the beginning of August there will probably be someone on the door scanning the QR code on your phone or paper attestation.

Yes I realise that, I just wonder if places like BK and McDo will really have the staff to do it. We shall see.
