Could someone help me, svp? What social charges are you paying, if any, on your UK govt pension and what percentage? Are you S1 holders?

Yes to S1 .. social charges at 7.5% but on unearned income only ie Premium Bond wins etc. Not seen any on any pensions.

I'm wondering about loss of total exonération for S1 holders since reading about Macron's tinkering with the social charges. He scrapped one or two and replaced them with a solidarity truc which stings everyone for 7.5% Are S1 holders included in this?

But only because our French Health costs are reimbursed by the UK. That is changing somewhat for future S1 holders I believe ?

Eeek! So even if the money is invested in a supposedly unimposable Livret A, LEP etc. the interest will be 'taxed'! I'm not feeling very solidaire No idea what the future holds for anyone moving over here or becoming eligible for an S1 now. I'm having enough trouble keeping up with the various, sneaky attempts to part OH from the bit he's got

No Houpla .. there is no tax or other charges on Livret A, LEP etc. <<Les intérêts du LEP sont exonérés d'impôt sur le revenu et de prélèvements sociaux.>> Sorry I should have put UK investment income .. I did mention Premium Bonds and I don't remember them being available in France
