We bought a large smart LG tv a little while ago, maybe 2 years. When OH goes to bed I like to watch the TV using headphones such that the sound doesn't disturb her, and its better for my ears too! A few months back the head phones used to cut out after about 5 minutes. I changed the batteries to see if that was the problem but no. The TV man came and didn't do a thing but it worked great.....for a few months. Then the headset worked well except on Canal+ . Other channels like Prime were ok. English TV was fine too - couldn't watch Canal+ for more than 5 minutes before it cut out but could watch 80 minutes of rugby on BBC/ITV. Then all french pay channels cut out but UK tv and french non pay tv worked. Now all tv cuts out after about 5 minutes. If I disconnect the headset it comes back on again - but for just a few minutes.
Any ideas what's wrong? Is it the TV or the headphones?

Are the headphones cabled or is the transmission by bluetooth? Aah you changed baterries so probably bluetooth. If bluetooth, maybe you have another receiver you can try to see if it is the telly or not. You can use a smartphone, bluetooth radio or your hearing aids if you have them. Just pair the units with the telly.
