‘ There have been 21 fatal police traffic-stop shootings since 2020. Most of the victims were of black or Arab origin.’ Shocking

While I'm against anyone being shot. The article starts off talking about the gulf between the have and have not.
Do poor people or the homeless run riot in the UK robbing and looting shops and stores? And after the second World War did the soldiers that came back rob and steal to improve there lifestyle.
No one deserves to be shot but that does not give anyone the right to cause havoc.

Unfortunately the cause will be hijacked by those agents provocateurs who want to cause as much damage as possible. I certainly don’t condone it but the only way to stop it happening is to understand the root causes.

Whether the officer is in custody or not this can't continue, there has to be a change in policing methods as it's crazy that shooting someone is seemingly the first response in such a situation.

I can remember years ago here someone being shot in the back by a policeman or gendarme he claimed he did not know how the gun went off. I'm sure he was being chased on foot.

A British newspaper bringing to to light alleged problems with policing and governance really does smack of the pot calling the kettle black IMO.

If it was me being stopped and its happed a few times the Gendarme have ways been polite The last time was a few day's after that brit tried to run the Gendarme over with his car in the creuse. They were laughing as they checked my tyres and asked if I was hiding him in the back of my van which he was not.

I agree there needs to be a non-lethal option to use when a cop comes up against some poor soul who thinks he's so hard done by that he thinks he can just run away when told to stop by the authorities. That would cut through all the bleeding hearts and crocodile tears every time some miscreant decides he can do whatever he wants.

Have you never done anything wrong most of us have rebelled when we were younger. For someone who had no licence or insurance he had a nice looking car. Looked like an Audi.

You don't understand the situation in France . Racism is the root of the problem , killing one young man was just the trigger. The gun has been loaded for quite awhile.

I'm not suggesting that being Taser'd is enjoyable - far from it - but given the choice between that and a 9mm bullet, I'd take being taser'd every time.
If the policier wasn't carrying a taser, why didn't he not shoot a tyre or two out? (if the use of force was called for)
