We are finding that we are getting blocked watching most streaming services and downloaded programmes, we don't mind paying for it but would like any recommendations or useful tips. Thanks in advance.

Express VPN. OH says one has to pay for it but the free ones are no good.

SurfShark also seems to work AP, you get 30 days trial on both so you can test it out. I can give you a referal code for SS if you want.

My vote goes to Windscribe, never been blocked by UK tv players in 3 years of using it.

Nord VPN for me. They seem to keep on top of the cat and mouse game with BBC i-player. ButI don't think there's a lot to choose between Nord and Express.

I use Shellfire, which is dead easy to set up as it is a very small (match)box hanging inline with the router ethernet cable.

I was going to say it sounds quite techie but their website says not. More expensive than Nord VPN/ Express though. Do you use it for BBC i-player? If so, do you ever/often get the message that i-player is "not available in your country"?

With Shellfire I can switch to a server in any country ( almost) and when switched into a UK server the iplayer comes up no problem, but then I find the BBC programs pretty awful loads of repeats. It has been useful connected to ServusTV in Austria for formula 1.

I signed up with Surfshark a few weeks ago. Works well with iPlayer and good for ITV and CH4 too
