Thanks for that, crabtree. It was news to me that there are two days a week that I can't water the garden! I wonder which two days?

Thanks for your timely post and link. I needed that information to plan what to do in the garden when we arrive in two weeks time.

Thanks for that, crabtree. It was news to me that there are two days a week that I can't water the garden! I wonder which two days? Go to your prefecture website. There should be a link to an arret regarding water use. This will specify exact details. Alternative is to go to the mairie who will also have details - probably posted on a notice board.

The link I posted saves you going anywhere! Apparently it doesn't though. Otherwise why is houpla asking which days she cannot water the garden?

If Houpla or anyone else uses that page and their area comes up with restrictions, scrolling down the page that laods automatically will show the type of restriction(s) plus links to the relevant arreté(s), although it does say that the Mayor can add to restrictions and to consult them. Here is an example of how the automatic page loads if there are restrictions, although not my commune, just to show how it works: vigieau.gouv.fr/situation?lon=0.757119&lat=44.461923&profil=particulierIf, and it is usually a big if, there are extra Mayoral restrictions (at least in my area) they are posted on notice boards all over the commune, as well as at the Mairie, and on the Mairie's website. It is also posted on an app called 'Panneau Pocket' along with other local news and events. So really, you should not have to leave your internet connection to find it all out.

It is also posted on an app called 'Panneau Pocket' along with other local news and events. Just so you know, not all communes use Panneau Pocket. I'm now living in my third commune in France, and it's the first one that uses PP.

My post was tongue-in-cheek, exile. We've got the use of an agrilac fed by an inexhaustable spring The only limits are those imposed by the cost of running the pump!

Probably a silly question but are you allowed to use water to mix concrete or have all builders stopped work. I have used bath water in the past and bubble bath does not affect the mix.
