Amazing how even the haters are behind Nigel Ferage now, probably causing a lot of personal anguish.

Amazing how even the haters are behind Nigel Ferage now, probably causing a lot of personal anguish. And now banks will have to explain why they close accounts under new laws to protect freedom of expression. And Bank boss has apologised to Farage for deeply inappropriate comments about him after row over his Coutts account row. Yesterday on Newsnight a Financial person faced Farage and told Farage a bank can close anyone's account. He got a bit het up, as he always does, as Farage can say and do what he wants. He really couldn't care less about those remaining in the EU who have had their UK accounts closed due to him forcing Brexit on those that choose to live in the EU. Horrible little toad of a man in my eyes.

"Horrible little toad" is a vastly more friendly term than I would use. Banking is a service offered (at a price) like any other. I was under the impression that offers of services, or the sale of goods, could be withdrawn without explanation by the provider. In a similar way that a bouncer at the door of a nightclub can refuse entry to someone.

I like your sense of humour but I think a new script writer might be recommended.

I rather think you will find NF has accounts elsewhere. So he is not deprived of banking facilities - just those in the UK - and in fact not even that since Nat West have offerd him an account - more than they have done for me!

In the same interview on Newsnight he said that ten other banks had refused to let him open an account with them. When asked who they were he stated that he wanted to sort out Coutts first before naming others. Smells like he is hoping to pick up financial bonuses from each bank that has refused him. I sincerely hope Farage gets told where to go......

Well I just hope he wins and it is shown that holding political views is not a reason to close an account and that banks have to recant.
In that case I shall be lodging the political decision to remain in Europe and demanding my UK account be reopened.
Not sure what me next dream will be about though.
