Although my ability in French is rather limited, I started a search for this book. Your reference looks like it is not available so I tried Amazon which only offered a very cheap second hand edition. If there was a new one I would probably buy it, especially if there are many illustrations to help me understand the text. Thanks for the information .

Good morning Lurcher, I owe you an explanation after your search. My friend in cyberspace, Chris le Bricoleur, never published a book. In 2012 he constructed a very complete website, covering many aspects of the art of renovating a traditionally built house here in France and was present at many forums answering DIY questions. His heirs unfortunately decided to pull the plug on his website. Having a copy of the content of his website (in Dutch!) I chopped it into separate pdf pieces and republished them with the green copyright light of his heirs. 1/ An easy start in English, his bathroom project in Burgundy, a very quick compilation of a forum thread. 2/ With the help of the translation capabilities of Deepl and the included pictures several of his plumbing articles are interesting reading stuff: a/ What's different in France?b/ The construction of your system. c/ Waterpressure. d/ Hard water.e/ Miscellaneous items. f/ Planning of your sewage system. g/ Construction of your sewage system. Last but not least, back to the French language: the Eyrolles publishing company still has this book (1998!): La plomberie comme un pro! An updated version (2020) " La plomberie" also available. Hope this helps.
