How much data per month do you need overall ? I don't need a lot and up until I got my new phone I rarely went over the tiny limit and when I did, it wasn't by much. Lately it's been by a lot. If I can't find some way to remind myself to turn off my mobile data I will have to look at alternatives.

That is the problem, remembering to switch off the mobile data once you don't need it. We have forgotten on a couple of occasions and have just closed the phone but the data has remained active. Generally and until recently, we never used the data, but now we use it in Lidl to activate the special offers and invariably forget to turn it off straight away. We have had a couple of bigger bills recently, but when we are only paying/have been paying Eu.2 for a number of years, we swallow it.

With my mobile I leave 4G switched on permanently, and use approx 1 or 2Go a month, because our WiFi at home is dreadful .. ok when it works but our 'coin' is going over to fibre so there can be lots of interruptions/blank spots. I switched to Reglomobile (LeClerc) at 4:95€ a month for 10Go after Bouygues put my last forfeit up by almost 30% with no choice of opting out, except by leaving them. There are low cost options out there for those 4G people who don't need much data per month.
