It has an alfa engine, not for me but im sure it was probably a nice car in its time. Ein Eagle SS Flügeltürer Bj 71 4500 euros just now and it needs a little work Pictures removed to make more space for the kitten pics (mysty)

Thanks for thinking of us mate. I have been involved with kit cars in the past and frankly they are rarely worth the effort. Any number of reasons why but take my word for it, only something like a very well fettled Cobra replica will ever be worth any serious money.

The Eagle SS looks like bits of different ideas none of which work. It seems best to stay where it is . In that field. The BMW....awful.
Au suivant...............

Given the choice, the Trabant looks somehow "right" in its original colour. The Beemer is just obscene. A blend of graffiti, cartoon, and ancient television test pattern. By the way...........I bet the eco warriors absolutely hate the Trabants.

They do have a point: eco performance of its 2-stroke engine was about 60 times worse than what was produced by Opel, VW, Mercedes en Audi. Listen to the original sound and inhale the exhaust fumes.

Translated from a German forum, quote:
" It is important to know that there are just as many opinions and experiences on this subject as there are Trabant drivers. And everyone will consider theirs to be the right one and everyone else's to be the wrong one. There are recommendations of mixing ratios from 1:33 to 1:100 and more economical. There are also as many recommendations for the type of oil as there are types of oil.
From the very finest 2T oil to the very cheapest 4T oil, everything is used.
The Trabant can take quite a lot. What you ultimately have to do is find your own position.
If I were you, I would first follow the BA and run 33:1 or 50:1 with 2T oil, depending on the engine.
The crucial point is, as I said, the piston pin bearing. You can guess which one is installed from the engine number. But that doesn't mean that there isn't another bearing in the engine itself (in the last 40 years, someone has certainly had the engine of the car out). "

Does the "old" in the title refer to the cars, Curtis, or both?

It would fit some of us either way. I'm sure Mysticle intended no insult.
