I have the Sthil petrol version, but we only bought the chainsaw and hedgecutter attachments. I have used cheaper electric versions but they aren't as powerful. It all depends on your garden. I wouldn't be without mine and intend to sell our other Sthil equipment because it's just too heavy for me.

Hi JD, I have two (not showing off but one in France and one in UK) I bought my first one 4 years ago and so impressed I bought another, only problem, the exhaust box rattled it self to destruction but Parker Brand customer service replaced it free under the guarantee. I would add in the Oregon mulcher blade- www.amazon.co.uk/295505-0-Universal-Mulching-Brushcutter-Husqvarna/dp/B00L46JVYK/ref=asc_df_B00L46JVYK/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=226592631289&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17792779320372693639&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006685&hvtargid=pla-420130269816&psc=1&th=1&psc=1At just over £20 it is a no brainer, it replaces the brush cutter blade and for me I use instead pf my strimmer attachment. As for a cordless solution I would hang fire until one of the big boys like Makita, Stihl etc come out with a complete range of a one battery system. It is the strimmer that needs the most power and I don't think it is quite there yet but remember it will be a lot more money, I have gone for the Worx brand of battery operated garden equipment. I have a mini chainsaw on a pole plus hedge trimmer attachment, a stand alone hedge trimmer and a stand alone lightweight grass strimmer. In all 4 batteries, three charges and the list of stuff above, bought either new of Worx or refurbished from them direct or their ebay shop, total spent so far £270, all lightweight and the batteries last longer than I expected. Edit- it is heavier as it has a 52cc engine much more powerful than the 32cc norm so a bit heavier but does the job quicker. Edit- it is £151.99 on the parker Brand website-https://www.parkerbrand.co.uk/52cc-multi-function-5-in-1-garden-tool-strimmer-brush-cutter-chainsaw-hedge-trimmer-more

I had one similar to op. I would not recommend buying a non top brand name. The one I had was made of inferior material. It was only suitable for very light work. I have never had any Hyundai tools so am in no position to advise, but, would steer clear of Parker

I treated OH to the Lidl (Parkside) version. Like most of their tools, very sturdy and well built but heavy. Just a few observations....couldn't see a price for the Parker one, but the Parkside one was €179. There are in fact just 3 tools.....It's a bit of creative publicity to claim two strimmer heads and an extension pole as 'tools'. Haven't got rid of the existing Stihl, Parkside or other tools, yet. They've all got their specific uses, especially the battery-powered stuff

I have been tempted by a few Parkside bargain price tools but have found them much heavier than Bosch for instance and sold them on. Don't be tempted by their €3 secateurs or long handled rope operated loppers. They are held together with soft rivets that fail quickly instead of a proper nut and bolt.
I have learned over the years to be careful not to abuse tools. As long as its not poorly designed or made from inferior materials most tools will last well but long after the waranty runs out only the big names will still have spares available. The generic named brands from China will fail sooner and no spares will be available.

The one you illustrated is the same as mine which has a German lable all made in China. It went back after a short while as it would not run properly and was under the guarantee. Put it aside for the winter and will not start. It hangs in the shed for the day I have the patience to fix it. Using the chainsaw attachment on an extension requires muscle and skill. I would advise not to bother it's rubbish.

I don't know about AP's machine, but the one that you linked to is 100% the same as my GermoChinese unit but with a different lable.

I can only speak as I find, 2 purchased only one problem that Parker Brand UK customer service changed free of charge, I was led to believe that yes, it is a Chinese made but to Parker Brand spec with spares etc available in UK, it is no Stihl but then again it beats my previous Ryobi multitool hands down. Get the Oregon mulching tool for long weeds and brambles if you have them it is awesome, you bring the blade down on the weeds and it just pulverises them.

Quite soon you should be well placed to make a first hand assessment of the tools. I think we would be quite keen to have a brief report. I had been looking at a similar multi tool setup but was not confident that it would’ve be powerful enough for some of the jobs waiting for me. Hope it is a great success.

I think we all suffer from that effect. The excitement causes you to try everything way too long. Also there is a learning period where a user develops a variety of techniques to balance the tool and to develop cunning tricks to make it all work without the inevitable pain and suffering. I bet you enjoyed it!
