An electric hob we bought about four years ago on promo at 199 stopped working. Drove thirty minutes to hand it in to get fixed. Returned a week later to get told it needs a new electrical board, cost 168 fitted. I said I will just buy a new one which will be under warranty and had to pay 39 euros for his time which was fair enough but a waste A new one was bought this morning for under 200 on promo and a two year garantee. What is the point in taking something in for repair if its cheaper to buy new plus I used fuel on two extra trips which will probably impact the oznone layer in the Cher. What happened to just replacing an electrical component rather than a complete board.

France are offering discounts to have white goods repaired rather than dumped, was this mentioned to you Mysty?
