Ten hour round trip today to view a house at 10.000 not 100.000 euros. Sits on a hillside detached with no close neighbours with over a hectare of forest, mains electricity but water from the well. It comes with a CU and perrmission to build another 30sqm. We never saw a picture before we set off but it was 100% better than we thought it would be. It does have a private road right up to the house but totally overgrown at the moment. Another inheritance sale the family did not want.

It looks very close to the edge? Its built into the rock with about 40 meters in front of the house before it goes down hill. Its not a cliff we could walk up it

How reliable is the well, how near is mains water? Great project for a youngster!

I take it you bought it at that price? We did say we would buy it as soon as we saw it. It will not be touched, no new renovation projects just finishing off what we have started now. All we will be doing within the next few years is just re selling.

How reliable is the well, how near is mains water? Great project for a youngster! Mains water is about 150 meters away. They say the well has never been dry and they have a massive cistern on the land for watering the garden. Young and fit to restore that one but you are just 7 minutes walk to a supermarket, ten mins to cafes and restaurants.

Or a big draw for someone able to do the work themselves on a budget. I have done it twice and believe me the land is often more aggro than the renovation. But then, I didn't farm out any of the work to be ripped off by professionals.

The position of the house, there is a track right down to the back of the house but over grown the owner marked out a rough plan on the road.
