Presumably the donors are all racist - awful that anyone should think of setting up a page for donations and awful that anyone should think of donating.

Sadly people just don't see themselves for what they are. I've sat at many a dinner party table and listened to the most awful racist stuff but when you question the views being put forward they don't see it as racist. It's the same on some forums, speak out of turn and you're finished,

UK has an increasingly right wing government and it turns a blind eye to racism, institutional and otherwise.
Why did it take three years to get the results of the enquiry into this incident?

Why did it take three years to get the results of the enquiry into this incident? I hadn't realised it took 3 years. The whole saga is truly shocking. Your sending out the wrong kind of message if you want to stop racism. And the wrong message if you're trying to convince black people they're not unfairly treated. 'Black people' is an acceptable term? When I was young you had to stop saying 'coloured people'. Now it's correct to talk of 'people of colour'. Not much difference! |
