“I bet if one did an honest account, there were fewer civilian casualties in Cambodia than there have been from American drone attacks,” Kissenger said in a 2014 interview with NPR. Many researchers dispute this. Historian Greg Grandin, who wrote the book “Kissinger’s Shadow,” said that at least one area in Cambodia known to have “sizable concentrations” of civilians was bombed nearly 250 times.

I had some "inside information" during the Vietnam debacle. A good friend's mother had a doctorate in psychology at the time and served on an advisory panel to the president. Kissinger was also on the panel. I will not repeat her assessment here but just to point out there are two sides to the man. And in later years I have read about issues that didn't show him as a person I would like to have known.
