There will certainly be questions as to why he was released after setting fire to the cathédrale at Nantes.

He obviously has issues.......so probably should not have been released for mental health issues, but from what i have read, the trial for the burning of Nantes is still ongoing so that complicated things.....

He obviously has issues.......so probably should not have been released for mental health issues, but from what i have read, the trial for the burning of Nantes is still ongoing so that complicated things..... They treat their mentally ill here different - they give them the benefit of doubt.
In the USA they would have locked them up in the correct facility; probably never to be seen again.

Some do recover thru drugs or counseling and are ok in society so not all "will never to be seen again" but the first step is to evaluate them and any doctor, police or judge can have them held (imprisoned).
Even a family member can have you committed for an 48-72 hour evaluation.
