It was in the 1850s when 'English'history got a make-over. There never was a Germanic tribe called the 'Angles' there was a tribe that lived in the north of Celtic Europe that the Germanic tribes over ran - they were the 'Engli' which of course is where the word English derives from.

There never was a Germanic tribe called the 'Angles' there was a tribe that lived in the north of Celtic Europe that the Germanic tribes over ran - they were the 'Engli' which of course is where the word English derives from. Going on my history lessons from many years back now, I'm pretty sure one of the German tribes were called Angles? |

Apparently when the helmet was found it was in over 500 pieces. It took years to put it together, Then abt. 1971 thay reckon that they got it wrong so they rebuilt it.
