Synonymous with the present What scant information is known about King Rædwald of East Anglia, according to the Anglo-Saxon historian Simon Keynes, could fit "on the back of the proverbial postage stamp". probably due to the fact that the site of his burial was made was discovered on the eve of ww2 and tptb saw fit to use the location as a tank training ground. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sutton_Hoo_helmet

It was in the 1850s when 'English'history got a make-over. There never was a Germanic tribe called the 'Angles' there was a tribe that lived in the north of Celtic Europe that the Germanic tribes over ran - they were the 'Engli' which of course is where the word English derives from.

Going on my history lessons from many years back now, I'm pretty sure one of the German tribes were called Angles?

Going on my history lessons from many years back now, I'm pretty sure one of the German tribes were called Angles? And they were subdivided into smaller tribes called Right, Acute, Obtuse, Straight and Reflex.

Apparently when the helmet was found it was in over 500 pieces. It took years to put it together, Then abt. 1971 thay reckon that they got it wrong so they rebuilt it.

I think you're all looking at this from the wrong angle..... No just trying to get an angle on it.
