In the not distant future desertification and sea rise are going to create problems on a scale never before seen on this planet and will result in mass migrations of people brainwashed by religion/s and they will be confronted by others also brainwashed by religion. A scenario will unfold that will be truly horrific and would have been entirely unnecessary if action had been taken around 60 years ago. Religion and politics stopped any chance of that happening then and now - I'm glad I'm old.

But its ok to migrate if you have enough money to buy a house and be self employed. What are you trying to say in your post, it doesn't have anything to do with the initial post which is about mass migration. It is presumptive and concerns a miniscule amount of people. The UK depends on food imports of 65% of what it consumes. Virtually all the countries that supply this food in the future will either need it for their own consumption and will also be facing desertification themselves. So, where will the food come from? In the meantime if Sterling collapses which is a very real possibility then those imports will cease overnight. I don't think the UK establishment will behave any better, probably far worse than the establishment in France in 1789.

What am I saying it simple, is it ok for rich white people to migrate but not for anyone else. Who am I to refuse someone the chances that I have or have had?

"So what if Sterling collapses. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer."
As it always has been and always will be.

That figure is way too high and more like 46%, what people consume will have to change and the UK will produce more and keep what it now exports.

Why do you think the uk will produce more? There seems to be little investment in farming, where will the labour force come from to pick the stuff? No,for me the reliance on imports will continue with more chemical stuff from the US because the UK won't be in a position to say no.

Why do you think the uk will produce more? If the doom and gloom prediction of iolar comes true then the country will simply have no choice but to produce more, the alternative is starvation.

Nothing like doom and gloom to save the situation. 😃 Starvation will only be for the poor though.

That figure is way too high and more like 46%, what people consume will have to change and the UK will produce more and keep what it now exports. The figure is not to high, it's based on data. Your spouting theory - most people in the UK have never learnt how to cook, their parents were too lazy to teach them. I can remember being in the old Open Market in Brighton and a young woman tapped me on the arm "are those peas". Yes I replied split open the pod and you will see the peas. She replied that she had only ever been fed tinned peas - that was the end of the 80s' To many Brits the microwave is king. Just how is the UK going to produce more. More and more good agricultural land is sold at huge profit for house building. What land there is is being destroyed by using huge tractors, salination and extreme weather being the norm. Exporting food - the only food that is exported is sea food. Don't tell me - you've got a five year plan based on political theory.
