I should have come to you guys for a house when I was looking. I paid way more than that for a near-derelict in half the land (no firewood) in the wettest part of France in 2010. There's still no fosse and the roof leaks like a sieve.

You would have got the forum members discount and saved on the cost, plus no need for a tank, mains drains is at the bottom of the hill.

We had one of those at ur last gaff. I used to misuse it. Not sure we want to know what you get up to in the toilet. When my scaffold was not erected I used to keep it there.

The following morning I get a message from them on FB saying they did not expect to change the ceilings Must have been a translation machine error! It's a lovely looking house and ideally situated. The land is all over the place. The buyers must be young and optimistic. I'd love to know their story, going from Malta to Canada to Aubusson with money no issue.

Must have been a translation machine error! Quite so .. spoken-word-to-text can give sometimes hilarious results as the interpretation of a spoken word is heavily influenced by an accent.

No idea what they do money wise but might find out when the contract is ready to sign. They are young probably early 30s, its only going to be a holiday home and airbanab when they are not there.

The front doors are nice with just a bit of wood rot but saveable. Although the house is on a hill it is mostly terraced and it has a huge terrace outside the front door. If you click the picture it gets bigger.

That would depend on what you class as dreamers. Dreamers who we will never hear from again or dreamers who will buy but never do anything with it. We get both but usually they buy, will know by the end of next week if they are genuine, not too bothered although we will make a lot of money on this sale it will not be difficult to sell again.

The land has no great value as you cannot build on it unless you register as a farmer. The farm we sold with the 70.000 sqm of land we got offered 2000 euros for 20.000 sqm of forest by the local hunt, which was declined. There are plenty of plots of land around Aubusson for growing veg ect which are abandoned. If the land was adjoining a neighbouring house then it would be worth money but its like a cliffside as it gets down down towards the houses by the supermarket.

If it was nice flat land it would have cost more than 10.000 to buy it. On saying that a lot of it is terraced but flat land would change the price. I lost control of one of our grass cutters that went quite a way down the hill and ended up upside down but still worked after an oil top up.

Hopefully you managed to jump clear. A neighbour of mine at the last house was badly injured in just such an event. My patch is generally flat with a slight slope but right down the middle is a short slope to deal with. Not possible to mow it across at a right angle I have to go along it, standing on the running board steering with one hand trying to keep it from tipping. A lot like you do on a fast racing dinghy. My old skateboarding skills are useful. The wife disappears when I get to that area, she can't bear to watch.

That would depend on what you class as dreamers. I meant more the second type, rose-tinted glasses, all potential problems seem easily manageable etc. I speak as a reformed dreamer! The wife disappears when I get to that area, she can't bear to watch. I don't blame her! It sounds precarious. I'm sure you take great care but still ...
