Can anyone name these French places from their latin name: Some places actually have more than one latin name, Not easy I know but if you did latin at school, doubt it would help much, I did (but only for 2 years) and knew only two, three with a guess. Aquae Sextiae Augusta Argentorate Augustobona Tricassium Colonia Iulia Paterna Arelatensium Sextanorum Avenio Belna
Bajocassium civitas Brivates Portis Bononia Burdigala Condate Riedonum Caesarodunum, Darioritum Divio Durocortorum Lugdunum Portus Namnetum Rotomagus Tolosa

Burdigala = Bordeaux ?
Tolosa = NW Spain Basque country so I’m not going to risk any spelling.

Only Tolosa stood out as Toulouse; Burdigala - I suspected might be Bordeaux tho I wasn't confident enough to say so and I wasn't going to look it up. As I live in Brittany I thought Portus Namnetum was possibly Nantes .. but, again, I was not confident enough (without looking it up) to say so.
Edit : having looked it up I can admit that Brivates Portis should not have been the surprise it was

I thought Brivates Portis might be Brive but no! Almost all the names and their answers were impossible for me to choose correctly. I will try it out on my wife because she is a wizard at Roman town names in Britain and less so In other countries. As usual I resorted to cheating and got them all right. I may remember one or two.

It would have been more obvious if the either of the other two optional names were given. i.e. Brestum or Brestia I suppose there are not many to choose from in Brittany.
