Which, one hopes, will persuade people to get themselves vaccinated.

Will that be the same for residents who have to travel for essential work reasons?

Will that be the same for residents who have to travel for essential work reasons? If Mr MOTM is double-vaccinated and has his QR code, he shouldn't normally need a PCR test, unless it's a company obligation, in which case I would think there's an argument to be made for them to pay.

There is definitely a case, imo, for late teenagers and twenties to be charged - and I mean heavily charged. Friday morning at our test centre is plagued with these folk en mass trying to get a certificate for what ever disco or bopper party they are going to over the weekend. These are the folk who have a student attitude towards vaccination with many being anti-vaxxers. For as long as free [or cheap] tests are around, this is their alternative. I bet if they had to fork up 150€ each time, they would soon get vaccinated! These are the people that I have to pay for. I have, like most here I guess, have my double dose. Through a quirk I had a PCR and was postive despite having no symptoms at all. This is of course exactly what medical science has planned to happen and their utopia is that I go about my normal way and we all have herd immunity. But no, we have to be mindful of the anti-vaxxers that we do not pass it on hence I go into a forced quarantine. I have a real hate on these anti-vaxxers - hell, I know one lass of 22 odd who has researched the subject well she says, and the vaccine definitely harms her unborn sprogs. This is a girl who not only failed her Bac, they tore the papers up it was so bad, but she can read that goddam facebook well enough and learn it all there... So yes, under 25s charge them!

I think a PCR test is still necessary for travel to UK, even double vaccinated? The thing is that they put his CV into the machine, so doesn't currently hand over any money, but it still shows on Ameli statements. So in effect he does pay (I think) as it comes from health insurance which is deducted from his salary
