I bought a French van yesterday, picked it up this morning to replace my old battered RHD I sold last year and got fed up with hiring vans here. Its an unmarked Renault master again but a bit newer than my old 2007 model with aircon ect. I was going to go for a cheap UK one again but you need to do too much to get one registered here then you have TVA and probably malus tax as well. The rear lock is an over kill, if someone wants in they will just use an angle grinder and cut around the lock.

Of course, an angle grinder will overcome most locks.
That's not a factory fit lock (is it???) and it's probably not a good place to fit one. However, if it's cut off there may be minimal damage requiring repair - assuming it done for access and not theft of the van.

Not factory fitted, the van was used to transport things from dep 36 to Dep 83. I did see another van that had the security locks removed from the side and back door and you had two bolt holes on each door that held the locks in place.
