He doesn't need the attestation to go to the UK, however know knowing the motive of his visit and that he isn't vaccinated I myself would cease efforts to aid him ending up in hot water.

For people who have to quarantine like himself they are making regular contact and visits to check that it is being observed. Given the current "relaxed" status in the UK and knowing how people are interacting with friends and family after such a long seperation especially when alcohol is involved a wedding is likely to be a superspreader event and the person would return to France to give it to others before it was even detectable on a test.

Thanks everyone. I've passed on all your advice and substantiated current regulations. From here on, I think he'll have to satisfay himself that what he's planning to do complies with the rules both in the UK and in France.
