We're going all tropical here Hot, sunny days and storm clouds moving in all around in the evening. Never known so many thunderstorms! Luckily, tonight's brought some rain too. Halleluja!

Good sunny start and quite wam until the afternoon. Then skies went dark, thunder rattled and banged for more than an hour accompanied by some heavy rain and strong winds. Skies cleared now and winds dropped. Temperature has gone up a bit, and chilled air gone.

It’s been a lovely day, warm and sunny, 22C with less of the north-easterly breeze we’ve had for about 3 weeks. I have quite a few plants I’m watering that I’d wanted in a couple of weeks ago, but the soil’s just too dry. Even the very bottom of the bottom lawn (that’s usually squelchy because of underground springs except for a couple of weeks in mid-summer if we’re lucky!) seems bone dry.

Yesterday's afternoon storms cleared the air and this morning the air felt lovely. It has been sunny, warm and calm all day.

WE are currently in our Alpine/Med weather phase. Clear skies until mid afternoon then rapidly clouding over and then a storm. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
At last the garden does not need watering every night.

Same here, exile, without the rain though I've never known such a run of thunderstorms, dry or otherwise.

Sorry jackie; like houpla although we are getting a lot of thunder and lightning, it is not being accompanied by a lot of rain.

24C here and a clear blue sky. Just lovely. However, we visited Mottisfont Abbey NT property in Hampshire as their roses are perfection in June, and the walled garden was absolutely baking, much hotter than the rest of the grounds and my husband felt unwell, so after getting him to the café for a rest and more water I drove us home.
The forecast is for hotter weather over the weekend, 27C, so we’ll be staying indoors for most of it. It’s almost a year since we had to retreat home from France early, as the temperature reached 40C and my heart couldn’t cope with it - 40C happens some years in August, but not normally in June! Restaurant owners were despairing as people didn’t want to go out to eat in the heat, and post-Covid they’d been hoping to restore business to its usual levels.

We had touching 33° again today but, according to the weather sites, today should be the last really hot day for a while. I hope so as it's been really uncomfortable here in the afternoons.

Very warm and muggy here yesterday , thunder rolling around but no rain . Our shearer has posponed for another 10 days , too many problems with Myiasis in other flocks , we have none yet due to the trees.
