If you find that sometimes your replies end up inside the quote that you've made of somebody else's response, the reason is that you haven't positioned the cursor underneath the quotebox, ie it's not far enough down the Reply screen page, and the solution is fairly simple. Click the Edit button to edit your post, highlight your reply and cut it (right-click, Cut, or CTRL-X), then use the Down arrow on your keyboard to position the cursor underneath the quotebox, then paste your reply there (right-click, Paste, or CTRL-V).

If your post screen opens in the Preview pane (image 1 below), switch briefly to the BBCode pane (image 2 below) and click your cursor underneath all the code, then switch back to the Preview pane and add your reply.
