Glad you've been diagnosed. Tooth abscesses really cause problems.
Rest up

Hoping that you get some solid sleep, Johnny, just what you need. Glad to read that it’s fairly minor, although I do know how awful an abscess can make you feel - hope you feel better soon.

Glad to hear you are diagnosed and getting treatment. Do you visit a dentist regularly ? If not I suggest you do.

Round here (62) there is a Sunday dentist who will see folk if they are suffering and cant see their regular dentist. Your GP should have the number or the local dentist’s surgery.
JD, glad the diagnosis has been made so you can quietly recover now.

I've been in your shoes JD, and it's not nice. Antibiotics are wonderful things and hopefully you'll be feeling a bit better by now.

Well I am finally coming out of the mire, day 3 of antibiotics now and I am feeling better for the first time in 6 days, lymph nodes are back to their normal size now, and last night was the first night were i didn't soak the sheets........I even ate some solids rather than liquid foods. For some bizarre reason, my body reacted to it all by forming a load of blisters and ulcers in my mouth (aside of the 39C fever that is) so basically my mouth and tongue since Saturday has just been a giant open sore......eating some soft boiled rice last night was like chewing hot shards of glass.......
Anyway, I am hoping to be pretty much back to nomal tomorrow, and ready for the trip over next Monday, 111 and my GP said i should take a PCR test as a safety measure which I did yesterday and it was negative.......

Glad to know you're feeling so much better, despite still having some pretty nasty lingering effects. I hope you will feel well enough to travel next Monday.

.....tablets and the pomegranate seeds, turmeric and ginger! And three times round your garden chanting "go". Oops too late. NB being naughty here as that person woolybanana seems to think that having a sense of humour trumps serious comment.
