The government has told wastewater plants in England they may be able to discharge effluent that has not been fully treated because of disruption caused by “supply chain failure”.

Yes, reported a few days ago. Shortage of critical chemicals or something.

Certainly won't! Don't live in the north Perhaps your time would be better employed studying a map of France?

Don't the french fish up there also? Wasn't there a big fuss a few months ago in which i think the brits gave in to? Again, bon app..
Or if you would like, eat some fish from the med who have been eating migrants that sadly lost their lives crossing to a better life..
Your choice.... I only eat square fish. So I know what I am eating...

If the square fish was bought in France it will probably have been fished, landed and processed in the North of France, Boulogne most likely.

Cool. 2 slices of bread, a slice of cheese and some ketchup is good for me... Or some oven fries (frites) and mayonnaise for the chips and ketchup for the processed fish parts.

Instead of letting it overflow why don't they collect it and spray it all over the ER times wasters it may help them grow up!

This problem isn't new. It's just got worse from a position of "how could it possibly get worse?". Every English river failed pollution tests a year ago. Pollution was already at 10 times the maximum acceptable limit.
