For those wondering; DFTT stands for Don't Feed The Troll. I don't think ibis is a troll, but nor do I think ibis is living the same life as the rest of us down in sunny Spain.
The quote below... I am not a very good socialist... If you need money or a job - McDonald's is always hiring.. is not world's apart from Norman Tebbit's "Get on your bike...", and Emmanuel Macron's "Je traverse la rue et je vous trouve un travail" - it's not a comment "beyond contempt", just a comment from a not very good socialist's point of view Sorry, but it is not the point of view of a very good person as far as I am concerned. It shows a contempt for other human beings who have not had the same chances for reasons that may well be out of their control. Silver spoons in mouths and all that for the persons you quote.

Show me anti-flu vaccine paranoia. You may not have seen it but it was there. That is why 10 months ago, France suddenly started to run out of flu vaccine. Ordered quantities were based on previous years use but the sudden fear of getting flu and C19 at the same time finally persuaded people that their fear (or just antipathy) of the flu vaccine needed to be overcome led to supplies stocking out and (here at least) back up supplies having to be reserved for the vulnerable only.

You concede then that it is paranoia and not based on evidence, scientific or otherwise?

It was the royal you. "So it is accepted" might have been a better phrase to use. Anyway, I've spanked my bottom and sent myself to bed.

You concede then that it is paranoia and not based on evidence, scientific or otherwise? I never suggested otherwise. There are many people who simply have an aversion to going to see the doctor - often hidden behind, I don't want to waste their time. There are people who have an aversion to needles. Put the two together and you have a recipe for vaccination antipathy.

No offence taken. I was just trying to explain perhaps why this scepticism exists for the flu vaccine.
