70% of French people approved of Macron's plan. Can't please everyone. Protests were minimal by French standards, Wow 70% of French people approved of the plan, they did that survey in record time! The following day...that's how these things are done. I haven't so far detected a great deal of disagreement with it apart from the anti-vax lot, who were anti establishment before this anyway. We went out to a restaurant last night. Had to sit indoors because it was too bloody cold to go outside! We had to either provide contact details or scan their QR code using the contra Covid app before we were allowed in. It was very straightforward. I imagine checking the health pass will be something similar. Neil downloaded an app that enables him to verify other people's health passes. We are organising an event in our village in September so will need to check everyone. He tested it with my QR code. It gave him my name, dob and confirmed that my vaccinations were complete.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense will know that what Macron has done is necessary. Most of us have been waiting for it to happen. If we are ever to return to a normal life everyone who can be must be vaccinated. And those that refuse will isolate themselves from normal society by their selfish actions.

That link talks about visiting France. There is no mention of it being acceptable for visiting bars, cafes and restaurants.

There will have to be a special QR code for those unable to be vaccinated. Any idea of numbers?

As previously mentioned, the difference in size and usability of printing the 'Health Pass' with a A6 setting instead of the default A4. The smaller printout easily fits into a CC slot in your wallet or purse.

I cut the relevant QR code section from the A4 document and got the secretary at the Mairie to plastifier it. No charge and fits perfectly in my purse/his wallet.

The problem could well arise when someone queries the ownership of the cut QR code. It will certainly be useless going across a border. The scanners to be used in bars, restaurants, commercial centres, etc. will give your first name, surname and date of birth and a red/green indication the QR Code is valid. The full vaccination details bottom RHS of the complete Certificat Covid Numerique EU/Pass sanitaire are not shown. There will be little to prove the cut QR Code is yours. That is why the top RH corner of the complete document to be shown has your name and date of birth which could then be compared to a TdS or another identification document with photo. Interestingly, the version of the QR code in the TousAntiCovid app to present only shows the QR code and your first name +surname.

Macron, to my ears, sounded jaded, tired and almost ill. His eyes were puffy and slitty; with an election coming up he will need all his strength and guile. A disappointing speech from a man who seems not to handle pressure than well now. I suggest Specsavers. You really twist the facts to the extreme. dominicbest, your reply suggests an entrenched position, unwilling to see a different viewpoint. This is sad. Why not look at photos of Mr Macron when he came to power and compare them with recent ones? The difference is startling. Meanwhile, who is eating the skins off my courgettes?

I cut the whole top rh section, folded it in half and then got it laminated so my name and dob are on the back. And I presume my tds or driving licence will confirm my identity.

I read an interesting report on a survey recently. It stated that the refusniks are mainly healthcare assistants - cleaners etc. Nearly all doctors have been vaccinated. The article proposed that it was down to levels of intelligence ie science vs social media

I can't see a bar or restaurant owner breaking the rules for tourists when you consider the max fine is 45,000 euros ans 1 year in jail.

I’ve seen to many of Attachment Deletedyour alternative viewpoints from the far right. I find it hard to believe we live in the same World. Your pin-up looks pretty dodgy from time to time…
