“I think the API may be what the airlines have been asking for - presume it must be fairly new for BF/DFDS if most of you have not come across it before.” Sounds like it, I haven’t ferried or tunneled in a couple of decades and stupidly assumed that completing APIS or similar had been a standard PITA for all travel into/out of the UK for many years…

Eurotunnel has been sending out the API form after booking for years insisting that every passenger is listed with all their details with dire warnings of being delayed if not completed.
I have always ignored it and never had a problem.
Same with the other ferry companies although once again Newhaven Dieppe dont embêter their travellers with pointless hoops to jump through.

We have booked with BF and had to fill in the APIs on-line at the end of the booking process. We don't have a copies of them and must just assume that BF have them on their system.
