On a map I would say that Selby is in the north-east part of England, even if it's not in the North East England region.

If only there were a Selby resident present to clear this up...

Going back on topic. Tory Treasury Minister Simon Clark said on yesterdays Radio 4 Today that there were shortages all over Europe. Anyone seen any evidence of this? Did our weekly shop in HyperU on Saturday and shelves were full to bursting and the usual abundance of fresh fruit and veg. Plus the autumn wine fairs are in progress at the moment....👍🍷

No shortages apparent where we are in Brittany either, though petrol/diesel prices have crept up a little.

Our local Lidl often has gaps on the shelves and has had for months.

Aldi's on line weekly catalogue has been littered with items greyed out with a note that the item is unfortunately delayed. Example from this week catalogues.aldi.fr/kw402021/?cid=D_V_PAC_native&page=38Now the question of course is why it is delayed. Aldi unable to deliver out to its stores? Supplier unable to deliver due to driver shortage? Supplier unable to get all components (for example electronic chips)? Something else?

There are shortages here - doctors, dentists, optometrists, HGV drivers, agricultural workers, bar and restaurant staff plus numerous products resulting from the global supply chain issues, none of that though is due to Brexit.
